Scandinavian Writing Retreats and Adventures for Women
One of the greatest joys of travel is the people you meet along the way. After years of exploring, writing, and living close to nature in Sweden, I’ve found myself wanting to share some of those experiences more personally — not as a business, but as a way to connect, collaborate, and build friendships. Everything I do in this space is offered freely, because I believe the outdoors, stories, and companionship are best shared without barriers.
Women-Only Writing Retreats in Sweden
These retreats are small, intimate gatherings for women who want the time and space to write, reflect, and share their creativity. Set in the rugged beauty of Sweden’s west coast, the retreats make use of nature as both inspiration and backdrop. The idea isn’t to follow a rigid programme or produce polished work by the end, but to write freely, surrounded by encouragement and fresh air.
We might start the day with a walk by the sea or in the forest, letting the rhythm of nature clear our thoughts before sitting down with notebooks. Afternoons can be spent writing by the fire, exchanging ideas over coffee, or simply enjoying the quiet that allows words to flow. In the evenings, there’s time for conversation, reading aloud if you feel like it, and laughter with new friends.
Whether you’re working on a novel, journalling for yourself, or just curious to see where the pen takes you, these retreats offer a space to explore your voice without judgment. I share my own experiences as a journalist and author, but mostly it’s about giving each other support, time, and space to write.
There is no cost involved, no expectations, and no pressure. It’s simply an opportunity for women to come together in a safe and inspiring place, to write, recharge, and connect.

Women-Only Guided Adventures in Sweden
Alongside writing retreats in Sweden, I also love guiding small groups of women into the Scandinavian outdoors. These are not extreme expeditions or endurance tests — they’re adventures designed to be enjoyable, grounding, and confidence-building. My goal is to share the wild beauty of Sweden in ways that feel both accessible and unforgettable.
A guided adventure might include hiking through ancient forests, following coastal trails where the sea meets the rocks, or swimming in a hidden lake. It could mean learning to make a fire, cooking outdoors together, or simply sitting quietly in a spot most visitors would never find. Depending on the season, there may be snowshoe walks, midnight sun hikes, or bracing sea swims followed by hot drinks around the fire.
I provide the guidance, the local knowledge, and the reassurance of someone who knows these landscapes well. You bring your curiosity, your willingness to step out of routine, and perhaps a sense of adventure you didn’t know you had.
What makes these trips special is not only the scenery, but the company. Women supporting women, encouraging one another, and sharing the experience of being outdoors together. The focus is on friendship and discovery rather than ticking off miles or chasing achievements.
Again, there are no fees, no commercial trappings, and no barriers. This is about sharing what I love with others: the freedom of the Scandinavian outdoors, the confidence it gives you, and the joy of being part of something simple but meaningful.
